Risks & Disclaimer

What can go wrong and what ROX is not — in plain language.

ROX is a game played with real money, and honesty about risk is part of how we run it. There is no token and nothing here is an investment — but these things are still worth knowing before you play.

The platform is young

ROX is in active development. Features ship, change and improve continuously, and rules — class bands, fees, schedules — can be tuned as real racing data comes in. Two promises hold through every change: fees are published before they apply, never after, and horses you own remain yours on-chain regardless of what the platform does.

Racing and betting involve losing

Nine of twelve runners in every race lose their entry fee — that is what funds the purse. Betting carries the book's published margin, which means the average bettor loses over time. Enter races and place bets with money you can afford to lose, and treat both as entertainment with an upside, never as income you rely on.

Horse values move

A horse is worth what another player will pay for it. Values rise with wins and fall with losses; a horse that plateaus in the middle classes may sell for less than it cost. Breeding decay is permanent by design — foals are always a step below their parents — so a bloodline's scarcity protects the founding stock, not every individual foal.

Blockchain realities

Withdrawn horses live in your own wallet on Polygon — which means your keys, your responsibility. Lost keys cannot be recovered by us or anyone. Network fees are outside our control, and transfers, while boring by design, still depend on the networks and banks that carry them.

Rules and regions

Online racing and betting are regulated differently around the world. Real-money betting launches only where licensing allows, and some features may be unavailable in some jurisdictions. Play-money features are exactly that — play money is never convertible to real money.

Account security

Your account is the door to your stable. Use a strong unique password, keep your email secure, and never share login codes with anyone — ROX staff will never ask for them.

Disclaimer

ROX is a game, not an investment. There is no ROX token, no share, no security, and nothing on this platform is an offer to sell one. Horses are digital collectibles you buy to play with — race, breed, trade — and their value is simply what other players will pay. Nothing on this site is financial advice.

Prize money, fees and prices are stated in dollars and paid as stated. The rules of the game — classes, fees, schedules — are published in this help center and may evolve as the platform develops; fee changes are always published before they take effect.

Real-money betting is offered only where licensing permits, and is intended as entertainment. You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to use real-money features. Play responsibly: never race or bet with money you cannot afford to lose.

Forward-looking statements — roadmaps, planned features, timelines — describe intentions, not guarantees. Features ship when they are ready.
