The Money / Payments

Payments

How money moves on ROX — dollars everywhere, and why there is no token.

How money moves on the platform. The short version: there is no ROX token, and there never will be one.

Money on ROX is simple: dollars, everywhere. Mint purchases, entry fees, prize money, marketplace sales and stud fees are all priced and paid in dollars. A purse is worth exactly what the race card said, this month and next.

Why no token

Nearly every racing game before us ran on its own coin — and died by it. Reward emissions inflated the supply, the coin fell, purses paid in it became worthless, and the players holding it were the ones who paid for the collapse. We sell a sport, not a coin. Prize money on ROX is funded by entry fees in stable dollars, and the platform earns from small published fees — never from selling a token to its own players.

Depositing and withdrawing

  • Top up — fund your balance by crypto, card or bank transfer. Whatever you send is converted on arrival and lands as dollars, so your balance is one number in one currency. ROX adds no fee of its own; the payment provider takes 0.5% of each deposit and credits the rest, so a $100 top-up lands as $99.50 (see Platform Fees).
  • Withdrawals — take your balance out the way that suits you. You choose the method and currency at the moment you withdraw; ROX charges nothing, and you pay only that method's own cost.
  • NFT horses — live on Polygon and can be withdrawn to your own wallet. Marketplace sales settle to your balance, in dollars.
